The History of Communications Computing and Media

The Arthur C Clarke Foundation website can be used as a valuable resource for education, both in the UK and internationally.

This booklet describes its enormous potential in meeting the needs of education and the curriculum in a UK context. An assessment of the curriculum in Australia, the USA, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada and Hong Kong shows that similarly detailed links can be made and indicates the potential of the website as a valuable educational resource in various parts of the world.

The website is a resource for teachers world-wide not only in the Science curriculum, but also for teaching History, English, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and in the development of Literacy, which has now become an international priority. The case study below, outlining details of curriculum links, is based on UK documents but could be carried out equally successfully with education guidelines produced in other parts of the world. There are a large number of links to the various statutory documents on Education published in the UK.
